The 2009 Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to Herta Mueller, a
Romanian of German ancestry. Christian Hermann wrote that he found a
picture of her on the front page of the Berlin daily newspaper today
- she is seen visiting the Jewish cemetery of Czernowitz. Check out
the photo from "Der Tagesspiegel" on the Ehpes blog:
Question to ponder - why is she visiting the Jewish cemetery? Does
she have some Jewish ancestry?
Thanks, Christian, for sharing this with us.
