 Dear Bruce, dear Christian,
Thank you for the picture.
We are very excited about Herta Mueller receiving the Nobel Prize. My
brother, Ilya Ehrenkranz , then a journalist and cameraman at the German
section of the Rumanian-TV, remembers vividly the first time he met and
filmed Richard Wagner and the very young lady named Herta Mueller. This
happened in the mid -1970's. They were presented reading from their literary
works. She is a very gifted writer. I'm sure that in a short time there
will be a lot of translations of her books available to readers around the
world.
