Today I received Email from Dr. Bursuk in which he writes that the hired
workers have completed clearing the 1 hectare they were hired to clear.
How good a job they did, I will se when I'll be in Czernowitz in August.
In the meantime, Dr. Bursuk has paid them the $2000 we had promised them.
Dr. Bursuk also writes that the volunteers from ASF arrived yesterday and
have started the work of clearing the cemetery. There are 17 volunteers from
Germany and they have been joined by 12 local university students.
The local university students were recruited through the efforts of one of
the members of the local Jewish community.
This group of volunteers will work till August first.
The SVIT Ukraine volunteers will come on August 10th and will work for two
weeks.
