Dear Ruth,
Dear All,
From my reading of some of the available literature, which describes the
events of July 1941
in Romania in general and in the Bucovina and Cernauti, in particular, there
seem to be
a lot of contradictions about the number of victims and the exact identity
of the perpetrators.
First hand knowledge of these events would have to come from eyewitnesses
or from documents, which can reasonably be assumed to be accurate.
I am afraid that it is impossible to say about most of these events: ³I know
for a fact².
I will write more about this in answers to other members of the Cz,-List,
who answered my letter.
Shabbat Shalom and may we enjoy only hapiness and ³Nachat²,
Mimi
