[Cz-L] Re: czernowitz-l digest: July 19, 2009

Hello from Berlin. Cristel Wollmann-Fiedler lives not far from us and we
met her again recently at an literary evening with Ilana Shmueli (late
girl-friend of Paul
Celan). She also took a photo of Hedwig together with my mother, Ria
Gold, which can be seen in the book.

The two Silverblatt sisters more closely related than we to Selma
Meerbaum, also visited Berlin recently, and we met rather too shortly.
They continued their journey on to Czernowitz where they are spending
one week. Have recommended Slava's restaurant (Cornel knows it) and they
were welcomed with Ukrainean/
Czernowitz hospitality and warmth.
