As we are now in the clean up we discover new facts :
A jewish cemetery is hallowed ground - suiciders are not buried there ,nor
people
who are not jewish. This will desecrate the ground and jews will not be
buried there by rabbinical law.
In the Czernowitz cemetery non-jews are buried there since 1914 (that
we
know of)
Turks and Austrians ( maybe buried by Russian occupants ) have mass
graves
there.
And Rumanians too. Nobody asked us or our Rabbis. I really do not
mind.
It makes our cemetery a tourist and pilgrim attraction .
Many Jews have been buried there since and nobody objected.( or did ?)
But we have little to say and nobody asked us.
There are some Rabbbis in town who are in charge ?
But nobody asks us and so we have no say on the flavor of the ice
cream sold in our Temple foyer nor chose the films that run in the
cinema projection hall.
