Julia Myasyshcheva of SVIT Ukraine has written me that she intends with
the aid of the volunteers and the already granted permission of the city
administration, to put up a number of signboards at the Jewish cemetery,
which will serve to inform visitors of the history of the cemetery and the
location of the graves of the most famous or important people in
the cemetery.
The intention is to have one large signboard close to the entrance,
detailing the history of the cemetery and probably 6 smaller signboards
pointing out, either the graves of well known people , like Eliezer
Steinbarg, or areas in which a number of well-known people are buried.
She would like input from our list as to what the text on the large
signboard should be and also which graves or areas should have their own
smaller signboards.
Please give this question some consideration and send me your answers.
In the subject line put: "signboards".
With advance thanks,
Mimi
