Hi Bruce

Thanks again, and to Mimi and the group. Even though the name is confirmed
as Pepi or Pearl Riemer, this definitely is not my great-great-grandmother,
as her maiden name was Freier. This person was, I would guess, the wife of
a nephew of my great-great-grandfather Mendel Riemer, ie married to a son of
his brother, hence the same surname.

I'll have to tackle the family reconstruction from the LDS record.

Nigel

Hi Nigel: I have a little more progress to report for you. I found
the stone for Pepi Rimmer and the actual spelling on the stone is
"RIEMER". (See attached.)

As far as these old stones go (100 years old!) this one is fairly
readable. In Hebrew (I'm not really an expert here) I believe it
says "Peril daughter of Shmue(l)?". In German, Hier Ruht Pepi
Riemer, geb. Seidenstein, gest am 31 Jaenner 1909. Eine gute Mutter,
von Ihnen(?) Kindern tief betrauert. Friede Ihren Asche!

"geb. Seidenstein" gives you her maiden name - another generation. I
guess this is all I can give you and it's up to you to decide whether
this is your great great grandmother's tombstone, or that of another
family member.

The old Parcel number was 20, but the stone is now in what is called
"Area 54". This is one of the Areas that was recently cleared by the
efforts of Mimi and others in the group.

Good luck,
Bruce
