This is the North side of the Ringplatz before the war.
Not far from the Stock Exchange it was the Black Market of Czernowitz.

Most were deported to Siberia by the Soviets in 1941 (Saving them from
Transnistria).
As you note , most people are jewish.

Gold coins named by the engraving : Napoleonchikes, Chaserl and
others...
Precious Stones : "Sie brauchen a Stein ?"
Gold watches : Doxa , Omega ,Longines ( some counterfeit).
No, they did not love us very much for this.
