Happy Sukkoth dear members
1. The Archive in Chenivtsi or any other place in the Ukraine does
not issue any formal document.
2. In order to get a formal copy of a document (birth certificate
etc.) a person must apply with applicable proving document translated
to Ukrainian and notary approved, either to the local Ukrainian
Consulate or - in the case of Chernivtsi - to the Registration Office
located on Kobilianskoy 33 (entrance from the backyard).
3. As for the Mormon Church Family History Centers in the USA as
Bruce already mentioned the microfilms containing only registrations
of vital records can be ordered to be viewed at the applicable center
or viewed directly at the World Center in Utah.
