I am pleased to announce the release of our new blog, presenting a microcosm
of the Jewish suffering in Romania: persecution, deportation, extermination:

In the summer of 2009, Anca Dumitru-Sapuna, my co-researcher, and I,
identified in the Romanian National Archives, Suceava County Branch, a total
238 pages of documents filed as the „Jewish File of Rădăuți. We have since
translated a certain number of these into English in order to facilitate
access to this historic material.

Currently we are editing a listing of about 15,000 Jews, who - repatriated
from Northern Bukowina - crossed the USSR/Romanian border at Siret in
March/April 1946, i. e. those Jews who survived the Holocaust and
Transnistria. This listing will be released by the end of this year at the
latest. So please stay with us and send us your comments, suggestions and
questions!
