As I was afraid that because my English I would not be understood. I did not
mean to receive a prescription of the area. I was there in 2006 and searched
every corner. There was not much to find (Savoy, bonbonery, numbers of
houses that possibly changed etc.) I mean, what you remember about people
living there, names or occupations.

I know the area very well. Before Transnistria I lived not far away but I
was in the area almost daily. After returning from Transnisrtria we lived
for one year in the Savoy building. The area was very upscale, all buildings
were 3 to 4 story high and some were fairly new. Most of the apartments had
balconies. The location was excellent, few hundred meters from the Ringplatz
the center of town with the beautiful buildings from the Austrian era. Most
of the stores were in the Rathaus Strasse very few in the Karolinen Gasse.
Around the corner was the Herren Gasse, the most elegant street in town.
Happy 2010
Marcel
