[Cz-L] Herrengasse, south end.

  This is the south end of the Herrengasse with the Deutsches Haus on the
left.
 Daily I would pass here to and from school on Neuewelt -Siebenburgergasse.
  One day in 1945 on the way home ,a young man attacked me and beat me up
mercilessly.
   I stood no chance , he was bigger and stronger and the attack came as a
surprise.
   I had it coming as I walked in the middle of the sidewalk instead of near
the houses ,
   in the shadow as
   during the war, to pass unnoticed.
       My lip was bleeding and my eyes were swollen and blue.
    As I came home my mother immediately started blaming me.
       My mother alwas blamed me first.
        After explaining she said that this was a " Gemeinheit" meaning a
mean thing.
      Which it sure was.
