Hardy,
Commercial high quality cherry brandy does not even come close to the taste
of Vishniak! First, it contains no cherries, second; it is fortified with
alcohol. Cherry brandy is just an alcoholic drink, Vishniak - is a
"mechayeh" (Yiddish word for great delicacy, from the Hebrew word for life
giving).
And where is your sense of adventure? And the desire to emulate the customs
of our ancestors?
