  200 m down the street is the intersection
  Hauptstrasse - Dreifaltigkeitsgasse- Bahnhofstrasse .
   This formed a square named the Ham from Turkish times.
    In the middle of the Ham there was a watering place for horses
    a stone construction fed by pipes .The water came from an
    artesian water spring - free flowing water.
    Artesian spring in German is Springbrunnen.
     This is how the street got its name.
       The well was closed and built up somewhere at the beginning of the
century
        long before our time.

Hi I lived not far from there, but I do not remember a market, though I do
remember the straw hats. Hence, the pricture must have been taken before
1930, at least. But when was there a foiuntain, since the name Springbrunnen
was not invented?.
