If Czernowitzers are known for their bragging, we are equally known,
for making fun of ourselves. That is why Hardy deprecates his modesty.
"He is wise, who knows himself."
  
Since we are talking about the famous Czernowitz immodesty, I will join
Hardy and say further, that I SEEM to remember that the two researchers said
that Chernivtsi is the city which MOST commemorates its Jewish famous
people.
One of the researchers, was Vadim Altskan, you can search whether he has
published anything on this subject recently. (I mean Commemorating, not
Czernowitzer modesty).
