Just received from a friend the same info as Daniel sent about Romania
interbelica, highly interesting about the agriculture and richness of
the land, the produce
the commerce, etc. Of course, no mention of Jewish presence except that
there were some synagogues.
I was born in 1945 in Bucharest, but we spoke German at home, es war
selbstverständlich. The same went for all the Czernowitzers and their
children who had come to Romania after the war.
