[Cz-L] My best friend.

Nussyu was my best friend.
  He lived corner Morario - Russischegasse.
  He had no father and his mother was never home.
   We played all day there- the house was a mess.
   He did not go to school -he thought it was a waste of time.
   He was better than me in : football, button football, skating ,
  slingshot, kechka doma and ruthenian.
        His big brother Moshe who was in the Komsomol had left with the
Soviets in 1941.

         He was a Red army soldier and fought in Stalingrad.
     Somewhere in 1945 he came back driving a 10 wheeler American
      Studebaker army truck.
      Now he was Mishka.
           He spoke only Russian and smoked machorka leaf tobacco , drank
vodka and cursed in russian continuously.
             He could curse 5 minutes without interruption without repeating
himself
      He knew all about girls.
        Then in 1946 we left , all Jews left.

      In 1951 , as I boarded a bus near Hadera in Israel ,and as I paid my
      fare the driver looked up and said : "Is that you Hardy ?"

      It was Nussyu from the Morariogasse.
        He was now an Egged driver and a cooperative member a very much
      appreciated position then.
         I havent seen him since.
