Hi Hardy,
Do you or somebody remembered the shops on the "5th avenue?" on the corner
left side up from the Ringplatz: was Falokmann & Gross, fine textiles,
Teitler, a "Parfumerie", than Ghelband, a shoe shop,...
On the right side was "Lauterbach & Schnee, fine textiles for man
suit,english quality, Fontyn, like "New Farm"than a big court, where some
some tailor-saloons, at No8 was Hermann Agatstein, a mercer's shop, also
with knitted jacketts from the own factory (He was my uncle, they were
deported to Sibire, he retourned with his daughter, the aunt died
there),,,and further down was the farmacy Greif, with two sculptures beseide
the entrance and the very famous confectionary "Kocharczek", which moved in
the end of the 20.th to the corner Herrengasse, Dr.Rothgasse, opposite to
Cafe Europe, then the owner was Rapeanu...
