Dear Jim,
All certificates from the entire region of N. Bukovina are in
Czernowitz now. There is a law that after 70 years, all the archives
from the provinces have to be transferred to the archives of
the capital.
Best regards,
Ruth

Dear Ms. Gold,
Do you perhaps know how large a region is covered in this regional
archive? Although some of my father's family lived in Czernowitz, he
and they were in fact born in the countryside, farther to the
southwest.
I would be very grateful for any assistance you might be able to offer.
Best regards,
Jim Wald
