Dear all,
my husband remembers, it goes like that:
"Alo aici e Stroe
va roaga sa-i dati voie
o clipa sa va inveseleasca,
si sa glumeasca iar cu voi"
Hello here is Stroe -
asking the audience to give him a
moment to let him
cheer them up and
make jokes with them.
Hopa hopa Reiter- I believe this is the Romanian influence on the German
- in German it is hop_e_, hop_e_ Reiter, we knew it too in our childhood
in Romania, it
is still used to make children happy.
Under "notable Czernowitzers" in Ehpes there is a Marguerite
Kozen-Chajes, pianist, she lived in Salzburg and was known for her
Mozart interpretations.
As to Cecina - my mother's beloved place, in summer for hikes, in winter
for skiing. In winter she went there three times a week to ski, one had
to climb the slope
with the skis on the back, no skilifts at the time. On Sundays the place
was ful of skiers of all grades.. In the evening, my mother recalls, she
and her friends went home, stopping sometimes in Revna, where they drank
Glühwein (hot spiced wine) with Strudel.
