HI Arthur! There must have been different criteria applied...we had no difficulty in getting the OK via Intourist in London.Maybe they regarded you as a superspy??? But you are correct re internal travel...some of the people we met at the time in Czernowitz told us they had to get travel permission to go within the USSR. Cornel
