I came across this wonderful map of Bukowina
"Ethnographische Landkarte der Bukowina
nach der Volkszaehlung von 1910..."
http://www.bukovinasociety.org/map1910.html
The colored circle marking each town indicates its population, ethnic
makeup, and whether it was a city, market or village. The demographic
information is based on the Austrian census of 1910. The ethnic groups
listed are Romanians, Ruthenians, Hutsuls, Jews, Germans, Poles,
Hungarians, and Lipovans.
