Hello=0D
Tury was one class below me in SPU. He lived in the corner of Schulgasse =
and
Hauptstrasse in the mid rise building=0D
Tury went to Italy and then to South America. In Italy he spent some time
with Nutty Feuerstein. Nutty and I were good friends,we were classmates f=
or
5 years. Nutty was the Khudozhnic for the former cinema Savoy.
AfterTransnistria we lived in the Savoy building ,I saw him almost daily=
 in
his attic studio. Last time I saw Nutty was in 1954 in Manhattan,we were
both on leave from the army. After 55 years I vas able to find him throug=

CZ-L. He Changed his name to Firestone and lived in Fort Lee N.J.=20
Unfortunately he had a stroke and memory loss .He remembered me waggly,I
send him a class picture taken in 1938 .About a month later his wife Mari=
na
called me up to let me know he passed away=0D

During the Ghetto period the cinema Select became cinema Apollo. The=0D
entrance and the lobby were not as elegant as nowadays. I do not remember=
=0D
its name immediately upon the return of the Soviets in 1944. My former=0D
classmate Tury Horowitz was there the "official" painter (Khudozhnik in=0D
Russian) of the large posters advertising the film presented each week or=
 14=0D
days. I was the painter of the former cinema Capitol (Dom Polski).=0D
