During the Ghetto period the cinema Select became cinema Apollo. The
entrance and the lobby were not as elegant as nowadays. I do not remember
its name immediately upon the return of the Soviets in 1944. My former
classmate Tury Horowitz was there the "official" painter (Khudozhnik in
Russian) of the large posters advertising the film presented each week or 14
days. I was the painter of the former cinema Capitol (Dom Polski).
