Yosef,

I believe you mixed up the Jewish inmates of the mental hospital with those
of the Siechenhaus. I witnessed in 1942 the removal of the latter from a
house on the Untere Neuweltgasse, where they were housed after being kicked
out from the city mental hospital. They were transported to Transnistria and
massacred as you described. Dr. Meyer, a psychiatrist, accompanied them with
his family. They survived and returned to Czernowitz in 1944.
