Hi Hardi, WOW, Hotel Palace, the old hotel in new clothes,
in 1976, when we, my late husband and me, came with 2 busses from Ploiesti,
through Suceava, to Putna, visited the monastere and the ab bot showed us
an urn, telling that inside is earth from Czernowitz, because it is our
territory...than we went to Czernowitz, though Valea Cosmin, and one of the
roumanian voyagers told us: that in this place where was the famous battle
"Codrul Cosminului, where Stefan the Great beeted the Polish king
Sobiesky..
Thats we learned at the roumanian hystory, at school.....But in Czernowitz
we were hosted for 3 days in The Palace Hotel,( on the corner to the "Kurze
Gasse", the link to the Liliengasse) than it had an other "Punem"but I am
sure that now, like 35 years ago, there are microphones, hidden under
tables, lamps or closets..
Best reguards
Hedwig
