Hello Czernowitzers,

Cornel and his wife Marcia, Christian, Arthur and I, all were in Czernowitz
simultaneously, even though we came and left at different dates. I did not
shop for individual items, but some of you might be interested in the cost
of being a tourist in our old hometown.
My large, air-conditioned room and small breakfast at the Magnat Lux, which
is very centrally located, cost me about $51 per day. A three course tasty
meal, cost about $12 and a taxi from the center of town to the cemetery cost
about $1.50.

Strolling in the Volksgarten, sitting on a bench on the Herrengasse,
admiring the architectural details on the public buildings, are all free.
