[Cz-L] Sidi Thal - Glimpses of Yiddish Czernowitz

In "today's" (i. e. 78 years ago today) edition of "Der Tag - The Day" (http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/) Helios Hecht, the partner in life of Rose Ausländer until 1936, released an article on Sidi Thal (p. 3).

In addition please note that in summer 2006, Asya Vaisman delivered a paper entitled "Sidi Tal and Yiddish Culture in Czernowitz in the1940s-1980s" at a Moscow conference on Yiddish in the Soviet Union. Asya is a PhD. student in Harvard's Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Read this amazing report on our hompage -
