Hi Mimi,

        To my knowledge there is no dish called "Kapusta mit Kvas."=A0I
        would assum=
        e that=20
        it means SAUERKRAUT with brine. "KVAS" in Russian=A0means "to
        make=20
        sour-fermentation."=A0

        We(poetic)=A0Czernowitzers liked rhyming; hence the answer to
        "Was?" was Ka=
        pusta=20
        mit Kvas.

        Hi Charles,

        You are right, I had forgotten.
        All Czernowitzers: Is there such a dish as "Kapusta mit Kvas"?
        Red cabbage cooked in Kvas?

        Mimi
