The Rabbi of Sadigura, mentioned by Jack, was the rabbi of the town,
in Yiddish "der Ruv." Then there were the Sadigurer Rebbes
(Wunderrabbiner zu deutsch). The first of this dynasty was the Rebbe
Avrohom Yaakov Friedman of Sadigura, the son of the Ruzhiner Rebbe,
who setteled in Sadigura, fleeing from Russis, because indeed it was
the more important town. One of my ancestors came together with him
and also setteled in Sadigura. I remeber the name Liquornik from
Czernowitz. If I am not mistalken, a family with this name lived in
the Dreifaltigkeitsgasse, where my family lived.
