Dear Czernowitzers

We just wanted to inform you about recent developments concerning our book
and traveling exhibition project:

Our bilingual (English/German) photo-text book "The Jewish Bucovina - In
Search of Clues" is going to be published in Vienna this fall. As soon as
the book is printed we will let you know. The first public presentation of
the book will be on November 18 in Vienna.

A smaller version of our traveling photo exhibit is currently on display in
Radautz, Romania. Our exhibition includes information about the Holocaust in
Transnistria. It is prominently located right next to the city hall at the
Gerald's Hotel. The next stops of our exhibition will be Berlin and Vienna
in early 2011.

Part of our project were 15 Oral History Interviews with
Transnistria-Survivors, conducted in Israel, Romania, the Ukraine, Canada
and the United States. Starting with the oral-history interviews we then
traveled to the places that played an important role in the life stories of
the people we had interviewed. We went out to search for former places of
birth, schools, synagogues and cemeteries and of course to find the camps in
Transnistria. In the last two years we stayed altogether almost three months
in the Bucovina and Transnistria and our book and exhibition are the results
of this two year long journey. The images tell stories documented in our
book.

We will keep you updated about our future exhibitions and book
presentations.
All the best from Berlin & Shana Tova!
