I accessed the song, since it did not sound familiar to me, I tried another
version:

This one did sound familiar and the photographs are much nicer.
Even though I am not sure, I think that this one is sung in Ruthenian, which
is what we mostly heard in Czernowitz.
At the same time, I noticed the names of other songs available, one of them
is called: "Na vesilli ya hulialla".

This reminded me of the performances we saw at the theatre in Czernowitz in
the years 1944-45 and also of the Yiddish expression "zu hillien" which I
think means "to celebrate noisily" and was used in a derogatory sense. Does
anyone remember this expression?
And am I correct in translating the name of the song from Ukrainian?
