Good morning,
the film on Joseph Schmidt was made by a team of film-makers who have many beautiful and interesting films on art - and you can order the film from them, if you want:
http://www.parsmedia.com/films/schmidt.html
I purchased a copy for 20 Euro.
In all sincerity, the film as a whole was a bit disappointing for me - it has some very good sequences (like the one posted by Edgar) - but is quite short and is not as complete and "round" as I have known other films from pars media to be. I do *not* regret having bought it! :-)
There are also some bits on Joseph Schmidt in an older film by the same group of people: http://www.parsmedia.com/films/belcanto.html - a beautiful documentary, surely interesting for anyone interested in music. I think this is now available on amazon.
All the best,
