Jessica,it was not necessary to be employed in the building trade. Then as
now halls such as this one were rented out for functions to raise money for
the owners. But if you look at Edgar's lists you may be lucky and find an
occupation. Cornel

Thank you one and all for your translations in answer to my query
about the address on the 1901 wedding invitation. In true List-member
fashion, responses have come tumbling in. Thanks too, to my cousin
Jerome who had the original, and sent out a much more legible copy,
which helped refine the answer. Aha -- Bauband.... not
Banbund..... What a collaborative group! Of course we are now left
with a puzzle that none of you (nor we) can answer: What kind of
artisan was either our forebear or his future son-in-law that gave
them access to this facility? Such is the path of genealogy -- some
questions can be answered, and some can only be guessed at....
