Abraham is right; in 2006 during the Czernowitz Reunion, a small group of
us, including Abraham, his son David, Wolfi Schaechter and me, went to the
Toynbee Halle and were received very warmly by the members of their
community and their "pastor". They did pray for us and showed us around the
building. It was very heartwarming to be received in such a very friendly
manner.

I do not know much about the beliefs of the Sabotniki, except for the fact
that they hold their Sabbath on Saturday and not on Sunday. During WW2 many
of them helped Jews, when it was dangerous for them to do so. I believe, but
am not sure, that they previously were not part of the church of the 7thDay
Adventists.

When we visited the Toynbee Halle in 2006, as soon as we approached the
building, a few young men who apparently were standing watch outside,
approached us and asked why we wanted to enter the building. When we
explained (Abraham speaking Ukrainian), that we were former Jewish residents
of Czernowitz, they immediately invited us to come in.
