I have looked up all name lists, origins ,indexes jewsih and not -
no Snitifker.
But here it is a living evidence and in the Cz. annals too.
German names ending in -er describe a trade :- Schuster, Schneider
or an origin : Berliner, Czernowitzer.
So this leaves us with the enigmatic Snitif or Snitifk..
Snitifka ? Sniativka ? A suburb of Snyatyn ?
Have we people from Snyatyn ?
This will not help our man very much but this a challenge to our
reputation.
But maybe it leads to somewhere...
