Dear Dale,

Thank you so much for your mail. I subscribe unreserved to your statement concerning the participation to our list and wish I could have outlined it as sensitive as you do. It's not off-topic at all, it's essential for the success of our list, that each and everyone feels at home in our group, as long she/he is interested in "genealogy and the history of the Jewish community in the Czernowitz - Sadagora area". It doesn't matter, whether it's a unique or a returning visitor and/or she/he is contributing actively, although I'm encouraging all to join the discussion; I believe that was Arthur's intention too.

BTW1: Thank you for your kind appreciation for the release of the Czernowitz directories.

BTW2: I noticed, that you're researching "Edelstein". Are you aware, that between March - October 1932 the name "Edelstein" was mentioned in min. 15 articles of the Czernowitz newspaper "Der Tag - The Day" (http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/)? Edelstein was at that time the Director of the Market Authority of Czernowitz and responsible for the price regulation, an existential question for that period of time. Are you related?

Thank you once again for your mail. Warmest wishes & Shalom to Erbil!
