Thank you for that tip! These results are very intriguing because the
individual mentioned was an official involved in regulating the market for
foodstuffs, especially flour, bread, and other baked goods, which might be a
natural professional for the son or grandson of a grain miller. More
research needed...

Just a useful hint to you (and all others), searching for names in "Der Tag
- The Day" (http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/). Klaus Binder from Berlin
has established an archive, covering about 50 % of the - transcribed -
articles, accessible as follows:

1. Go to the homepage of "Der Tag": http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/
2. Click on the picture, displaying the authors or go directly to:
http://dertag.forenworld.com/index.php
3. Enter your keyword in the search field, for example "Edelstein" (today
you'll get 16 hits)
