[Cz-L] Genealogical research

I was doing some genealogical research and came across the last name Maiesc=
iuc on the Czernowitz discussion group web site. From what I can tell=2C Ma=
iesciuc is another form of the spelling of my last name Maiesciuk.

Does anyone have any information on this last name.
