The school on the corner of the Siebenbürgerstrasse and Neuweldtgasse, just
north of the Volksgarten, is a beautiful building. In May of 1944, after the
liberation of Czernowitz by the Soviet army, the Yiddish school was opened
in this building. I attended first grade for one month and second grade for
a full year in this school. Arthur was my classmate. Did anyone other
members of our list attend this school during that period?
