Lucca's comments on learning the various national anthems, which I missed out on by leaving before all the animals invaded Cz, reminded me of a funny incident a few years ago when I was invited to a small social evening at the Romanian Consulate in Toronto.

Most of the guests were relatively young Romanian emigres born during the Communist years; there, no doubt, to make connections in the new world. At one point, the commercial attache asked all in attendance to to introduce ourselves to the crowd, give our name and what we did and our reason for being there. I had no real reason so when my turn came I spoke in English and said, "I just came to teach you how to sing 'Traiasca Regele." It got a laugh. I still recall the first verse or two which is no less or more than I know the Canadian or American National Anthems. Does anyone remember the words to "Alunelu, Alunelu, hai la joc"

Cheers,
Andy
