[Cz-L] Czernowitz Jewish cemetery

 Hardy's instructions for hearing Josefph Schmidt's voice led me to another
URL and another and finally to a video taken at the Jewish cemetery of
Czernowitz. This video can be accessed at:

It most certainly does not explore or illustrates all the varieties of
beautiful, interesting and unusual gravestones at the cemetery and all that
can be learned about Czernowitz and its Jewish community from these stones.

Which leads me to think that in order to publicize the beauty of this
cemetery and its importance, we need someone to undertake a full study of
the cemetery and either a video or a book illustrating its treasures.

If any of you know of anyone who would be interested in conducting such a
study, possibly a graduate student in Jewish Studies, or in Sociology, or
Anthropology, or in Folk Art, please get them interested and tell them to
contact me for some information.
