Paul and all others interested,

No need to pay a lawyer to obtain a birth-certificate from Czernowitz.
Copies of birth - , marriage - and other certificates can be obtained from
the local archives. Some of the local translators/guides in Czernowitz will
obtain this for you for a small fee.
