Just wanted to let you know that my mothers name was Rosa Schmidt
(1906-1990), and she was a cousin of Joseph Schmidt.
I have his records and movies, and if there is interest in obtaining
more information about him, I still have an aunt, living in Budapest,
also a cousin of Joseph, that I could address..

Some months ago there were takings about building a monument in
Czernowitz in his memory, which apparently did not continue.
I am very interested in that, if anybody knows more.
