Derebchyn is a small village near Shargorod (current population -
2,000, the map is here http://goo.gl/maps/PK7W). Village website
(http://derebchin.com.ua) has a history page, but no mention about the
Jewish deportees. Old picture of the sugar factory (now defunct):

Pogroms and harassment of Jews by units of the Vlasov army and various
irregulars are mentioned in several books on Transnistria (e.g.,
Felicia Carmelly, Shattered, p. 448, Avigdor Shachan, Burning ice: the
ghettos of Transnistria, p.356).
