I disagree. Transportation options into this area are not easy by any means
and are certainly worth discussing now and in the future. And despite its
superb security, your "child" needs a spanking.
List members, many of whom reside in North American, who might be interested
in UA travel, need to know what avenues are available, current, practical
and safe. Trusting your life to crooked players like Aeroflotsam is
incredibly stupid unless you can guaranty passage on one of their contracted
Boeing jets or Western-manufactured short-haul propjets. It would be nice to
have good weather along your route as well as a prepaid life insurance
policy.
If already in Europe, get to Vienna however convenient. Austrian Airlines
has inexpensive daily service to/from Vienna-Lvov, which also happens to
offer 5-hour daytime trains to/from Chernivtsi. I hear that the proposed
high-speed rail line between Vienna-Lvov is still in discussion, too
(stalled in part due to the Ukrainian government's little funding problem).

Since this is not a CZ issue, we shouldn't develop a dialogue on it. Suffice
to say that Skytrax gives El Al 3 stars out of 5 which in my experience is
pretty fair for an airline with average service at best and far above
average security. It's our child, so we need to love it...
