Hi Cornel
Sascut was a "judet" in Roumania, I remember from the geography lection that
we learbed 8 years and also for the bac...At the bac was a very antisemitic
professor from the L4 for boys, Constantinescu...He asked me:" what was the
transport in the Danube-Delta...boats or ("Floss,) pluta..was my answer.this
question was in no book, only he told it in his lessons,...No, you don't
know and you will not pass the bac...and gave me a 3....In our apartement
lived a jewish student, Esterica from Pascani, engaged to the secretary of
the Law University, a roumanian , a relative to Prof.Alexianu, the later
"guverneur of Bucovina, the president of the Bac-comission..and this Ticu
Pop,went to prof. Alexianu, who realised that Prof.Constantinescu changed
the 3 in a 4, and so I passed the bac, bicause for the other objects I had
good notes...
Prof.Alexianu was convicted as war criminal and executed, but he helped a
jewish girl to pass the bac
