Excerpt from the Concept of the Jewish Museum.

"A broad discussion prior to the creation of the concept of the museum came
to the conclusion
that the exhibition should be about the most remarkable period in the life
of the Jewish community,
when Bukovina was a part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and later the
Kingdom of Romania,
i.e. the period from 1774 to 1941."

As you see , a voluntary decision of the board of decision- makers.
What followed 1941 was not so remarkable a period.
Nasty things happened then, many Jews were killed,
the rest made their bags and fled.
       Therefore better put aside.
The museum handles only things remarkable.
The Holocaust was not "remarkable" for the Museum.
