RE: [Cz-L] The English we write.

I also volunteer to translate from French or from Hebrew.
I take the opportunity of this email to send my best wishes for 2011
to all members of the list, but also to announce something very sad:
my father, Joseph Herschmann, died on Dec. 22. He was born in
Czernowitz in 1920 and emigrated to France in 1937, some years after
his brother Leopold Herschmann. His parents (Isak and Paulina
Herschmann) remained in Czernowitz.
His brother Leopold was deported and died in Auschwitz, his parents
were deported from Czernowitz in June 1942 and were murdered, my
grandfather in Mikhailovka, my grandmother in Tarassiwka. I recently
wrote a text on the last months of their lives.
